Contemporary Bangladeshi marriage ceremonies have become more grandiose in the recent years. All ceremonies were held in the lawn of this sprawling five-star hotel. The seven acre area of the hotel, including its manicured grounds, gardens, and water features was completely decorated with light. While the food is served by its three restaurants, the guests from both sides stay in its opulent rooms.

Those looking for cheaper venues have the option of purpose-made banquet halls, special marriage halls maintained by both the local governments and private parties, and hotel lawns.

While Hindu marriages in Bangladesh are increasingly held in neutral venues, there is growing trend among the Muslims to have their marriages in resorts and banquet halls.  To ensure that your choicest venue does not create any hassle, you need to take care of few suggestions. Ensure that the venue has the required permit from the local government for hosting marriage functions. Enquiry about the detailed facilities, including catering services, provided by the venue owner. Power problem is a raging issue and make sure that your venue have adequate alternative arrangement. Express Your Sentiments with Wedding Vows

Wedding vows are something which is least thought of while making preparations for any wedding. The marrying couples get so busy with the elaborate traditions, ceremonies, wedding rituals and celebrations that they get very less time to think about or even pen down their own vows which they would exchange on their special day. Whether it is an Indian marriage, Hindu marriage, Christian wedding or even a Muslim marriage, wedding vows are the most integral part of any wedding day. This holds true even for a Bangladeshi marriage. Mentioning about wedding vows, I remember the wedding ceremony of one of my Bangladeshi friends – Jawed Habib. He made a special effort to write down his own vows that meant something to him as well as his bride.

Although in most Bangladeshi weddings, couples opting for an arranged marriage or even love marriage settle for traditional vows, Jawed wanted to do something different for his wedding. We are excited to congratulate Mr. Habibur Rahman, and Ms. Mariam Sultana on their happy marriage which took place on Feb 13, 2011. They found each other through SensibleMatch.com.Habibur-Rahman

In a number of Bangladeshi weddings that I have attended, I found music played out by local bands on the day of the wedding. Recently, I had the opportunity to attend some weddings in Bangladesh and noticed that people in that country pay a lot of attention on the wedding decorations to make their wedding a special event to remember for a lifetime. In one of the weddings I attended, the wedding décor was kept pretty much simple with standard flower arrangements and typical wedding accessories that are quite a common thing in marriage parties. However, in another wedding event, I could see that the wedding organizers had put in a lot of effort in their wedding décor to make it look creative, unique and highly attractive.

Mostly people in Bangladesh like to spend a good deal on making their wedding décor look creative. Some even hire professionals to decorate for their wedding as they are believed to have experience and expertise in making the wedding a grand event with their superb decoration ideas. There is no dearth of wedding decoration companies in Bangladesh.
