A good human being, willing to admit and learn from mistakes, and avoids same mistakes next time around. In short a 'work-in-progress, a unique blend of good qualities and some flaws. Yet, I may have qualities / flaws that only my spouse may be able to discover which even I am not aware of.
Appreciating each other's qualities, trying to be easy and patient with the flaws of the spouse while actively concealing his/her flaws (not to go around and tell others about the flaws of the spouse), and loving them despite the flaws, are essential elements of a happy and durable marriage.
It is easy to say "no one is perfect", but believing it and loving a person and living with the person who is not perfect is a conscious choice one needs to make in order to be happy in life.
